Siftery began as a platform helping businesses discover, track, and optimize their software usage. In early 2018, it also offered lifetime deals on SaaS products to attract startups and early adopters. Founded by Vamshi Mokshagundam (CEO) and Ayan Barua (CTO), Siftery was headquartered in San Francisco and secured significant funding. In December 2018, Siftery was acquired by G2 Crowd (now G2), a leading software review marketplace based in Chicago. After the acquisition, Siftery stopped offering lifetime deals, and its technology was integrated into G2’s platform to enhance software discovery and spend optimization. The Siftery team joined G2, contributing to its expanded capabilities.
